2 full days of LEGO Robotics Emersion (One month lesson gift cards do not apply to this program.) For this super fun filled vacation camp, students will be broken into two groups by age: 6-9yo and 10-15yo. Builds, schedule and field trips will be aligned by age group. We will start our two day program with team building activities guided by a fantastic, experienced team of professional educators. We will work through instructional builds and also have time to solve build and coding problems without directions: placing emphasis on creative ideas and multiple perspectives. The focus of our camp will be for kids to experience the role of computer science, engineering and coding in our world today and imagine where it can and will take us in the future. We will have the exclusive opportunity to visit a local entrepreneur, Michael Vichery, owner of STEAMfruit, LLC to explore real applications in 3-D printing. Michael works in industrial design, prototyping, duplication and production right here in the Pepperell Mill! Both groups will get a guided tour of his work space and get to watch 3-D printing in action! Inspired by our learning with Michael, we will be building and coding our own working machines at the studio with a focus in the older group on CNC machines. These two days are sure to fly by with fun, friends and super smart designing. We will end with a student expo on the 13th from 4:00-5:00 to show off our hard work! Space is very limited.
