Service Description

Maker Minds is a guided open studio program for the young independent maker. Kids who enjoy constructing with cardboard, wooden objects, string, glue and paint will love the freedom this program offers. Each week kids will be given a prompt or problem to solve. It will then be up to them to use materials provided in their maker's space to come up with a uniquely built solution or invention. Kids will learn specific techniques in how to construct and create with new materials, but the finished products are all their own. We will share our builds and discuss the importance of finding multiple solutions to a single problem. Maker Minds encourages discovery, making mistakes as a positive path forward and self confidence through creative and collaborative making.
