Get ready to create art like a scientist! Maker Minds is our special spin on STEAM bringing all that kids love about STEM into the art studio. We investigate, experiment, and create with the goal of understanding the physical world on a deep and practical level. Using scientific process and guided by our team of outstanding artist/educators, kids will pose questions and make discoveries through making. Each eight week quarter is broken into a theme that branches out each week with physical experiments and challenges. Participants can expect to explore the chemistry of art materials, build and construct inventions and simple machines, categorize and analyze collected data, create original works of art individually and as a team. Maker Minds is the perfect class for kids who love to experiment and ask lots of questions. It’s whole-brain learning at it’s most creative and fun!
