Service Description

Homeschool Art Group is a program that brings out the creative genius in all kids. We work with an ever-changing variety of art materials that facilitate discovery in working 2-D and 3-D. Developed with a foundation in fine art, kids learn about the impact that art has had on our human development from cave paintings to contemporary artists today. We occasionally have live or virtual studio visits from local practicing artists and develop our own work in response to our inspiration. In this foundational program, kids get to build conceptual as well as physical art making skills that prepare them for future drawing, painting and sculpture interests. We encourage collaboration, appreciation and development of each child’s unique interests and abilities. And we usually make a big, beautiful mess together!
