Service Description

Maker Minds Excel is the next level in our unique Maker Minds STEAM program. It is a guided open studio program for aspiring inventors and makers. Kids who enjoy constructing with cardboard, wooden objects, string, glue and paint, gears, simple machines and science will love the freedom this program offers. Each week kids will be given a prompt or problem to solve. It will then be up to them to use materials provided in their maker's space to come up with a uniquely built solution or invention. Kids will learn specific techniques in how to construct and create with new materials, but the finished products are all their own. We will share our builds and discuss the importance of finding multiple solutions to a single problem. Maker Minds encourages discovery and making mistakes as a positive path forward, building self confidence through creative and collaborative making.
