Clay Camp July 27-31

Service Description

We love clay! This special ceramics camp is all about learning and creating 3-d forms out of clay. Campers will handbuild using slab, coil, and pinch techniques. We will also practice our skills throwing on the potter’s wheel. Kiddos will create several sculptural pieces and functional food safe dishes every day. *Because of the nature of the ceramics process, most of the work will not be on view for the end of camp art show because it will all need to dry and be fired in a kiln. Fired work will be ready for pick up approximately two weeks after camp ends. An email reminder will go out to remind parents when pick up time is. The finished pieces are always worth the wait! Every camp experience at Mill Studio Arts is grounded in creativity, team building and friendship forming! Our camps are led by artist-educators with additional support staff, providing a student teacher ratio of 5:1. We ensure that every child receives focused, thoughtful attention that meets their unique needs and abilities. Our camps nurture the whole child and deeply engage the creative mind. Our campers take away a beautiful collection of completed art projects and joyful summer memories that last a lifetime! *Camp refund policy: All camp registrations cancelled or switched prior to 14 days before the first day of camp are subject to a $30 processing fee. Camps cancelled or switched after 14 days prior to the start date and before 5 days prior will be charged 75% of the registration price. Camps cancelled 5 days or less prior to start date will receive no refund. There are no sibling discounts.
